Glazing a traditional stained glass window
After all the drawing, cutting, painting and firing; it's time to glaze, lead up, or assemble the window. Essentially all three terms mean the same thing.
Below you see the lead came being carefully wrapped around each piece of glass cut to the exact size and shape to for the matrix that holds all the glass together. This is a labor of love and craftsmanship that requires patience and skill. I stop to hone my lead knives frequently to get the perfect cut on the lead.
