RenovoGlass™ HP

RenovoGlass™ HP (High Performance). This example illustrates a custom high performance restoration glass next to an original C1870 historic glass. Using natural light to project the subtle surface striation allows you to see exactly the nuance of our progressive historic glass products. The historic glass has many pits from over 140 years of exposure to the elements.

RenovoGlass™ goes high tech! The newest development in the RenovoGlass™ family of products, pairing the historic appearance of mouth blown glass with the high performance of Low-E coatings. This new product line of progressive historic glass products has been under development for a year now and has been received with great reviews.

Taking full advantage of the best energy performance products and incorporating them into the RenovoGlass™ custom finishes was a major undertaking and we are excited to be bringing them to important restoration projects!

Shown above is an example of the type of detail possible. This image has c. 1870’s mouth blown glass (left) with a high iron content, which give it a light green cast. On this project the original glass has a variation in hue and tint typical of this period of glass production; it is one of the lighter examples sent for evaluation. While the RenovoGlass™ HP has a bit more tint in this example, it comes very close to matching other examples of historic glass from the project. The RenovoGlass™ HP however has a SHGC value of .36 compared to the historic glass, which would have a SHGC value closer to .95 or above.

Soon we will be posting more examples of this type of product and more comprehensive performance ratings. Please feel free to contact us about your restoration glass needs.
