Window restoration of the second oldest building on Martha’s Vineyard.
The Parsonage, one of the oldest structures on Martha’s Vineyard was restored with a custom simulated divided lite insulated glass units. This project presented unique challenges. The Historic Preservation Commission insisted on keeping the glass authentic to the period and the client also wanted windows that gave improved thermal performance which was not possible using a single glazed true divided lite window. Adding to the challenge was the narrow muntin bar profile which had to be matched with an internal grid to the new SDL IG units.
